AVI encourages her students to go beyond themselves to help those in needs. Community Service projects are carried out at both the local and overseas levels. Students regularly visit the Villa Francis Home for the Aged to do maintenance work, help to feed the elderly residents and to interact with them. Students also participate in fund-raising activities by Boys’ Town and other charitable organizations. Overseas Community Service provides a platform for students to use their technical skills and knowledge to do a project. It also exposes them to different social and cultural environments that help to better appreciate their own privileged backgrounds.
